In April 2022, the Humanitarian Council of Europe Association (A.H.C.E.), in partnership with theAssociation Fraternit\u00e9s Togo<\/a> carried out a major mission aimed at strengthening the IT capacities of an Internet caf\u00e9 in the commune of Djagbl\u00e9, near Lom\u00e9 in Togo. This fruitful collaboration made it possible to bring significant improvements and to offer new opportunities to the local community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A.H.C.E. committed itself to improving access to IT within the community center. As part of the mission, four Windows computers were installed. Each computer was updated with the latest software versions, and an antivirus program was installed to ensure system security. In addition, software such as a PDF document converter, a disc burning program, and an educational application for children and teenagers was installed to enrich the user experience.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The community center regularly welcomes many children, who were often forced to share a single computer. To meet this growing demand, A.H.C.E. added an additional computer, thereby allowing more children to access IT resources and\u00a0all the computers were networked to provide Internet access.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Installation of 4 Windows computers: updating all PCs, installing antivirus software, setting up a PDF document converter, a disc burning program, as well as educational software for children and teenagers.<\/li>
  • Addition of an extra computer, as there were often four children sharing a single PC.<\/li>
  • Excel training was provided to enable accounting management of purchases and expenses of the Kiosk.<\/li>
  • Installation of a few royalty-free videos for broadcasting during outdoor evenings.<\/li>
  • Creation of a website with free hosting for the IT Kiosk, along with the training of one or two people to ensure their autonomy.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
